The first year does not change on a monthly schedule; it changes in jumps. So rather than twelve near-identical photographs, we shoot at the stages where a child genuinely looks and behaves differently: around three months, once they sit unaided at six to eight, once they crawl, and once they walk. Families on a milestone plan keep the same theme language across the year, so the images hang together as a series instead of four unrelated shoots.

What we would tell you on the first call
Book by stage, not by date. A plan that says "the session after he sits up unaided" survives contact with a real baby; one that says "the eighth of March" does not, because babies are indifferent to calendars. We hold milestone bookings loosely for exactly that reason and move them at short notice without a fee.

Why do you not offer a monthly photo package?+
Because babies do not change monthly, they change in jumps, and twelve near-identical photographs is a worse record than five good ones. We shoot at the stages where a child genuinely looks and behaves differently: around three months, once they sit unaided, once they crawl, and once they walk — plus the first birthday.
What if my baby reaches a stage earlier or later than expected?+
Then we move the session, at no cost and at short notice. Milestone bookings are held by stage rather than by date for exactly this reason. Development varies enormously between healthy babies and a plan that cannot move is not a plan.
Will the photos from different sessions look like a set?+
Yes — that is the point of booking a plan rather than individual sessions. We carry a consistent theme language and colour grade across every session in the year, so the images hang together as a series. You also get a designed year-in-review composite at the end.
Can we include growth details in the photographs?+
Yes, if you want the record. Height, weight and milestone cards can be included in frame at each session. Some families love it and some find it clutters the images — either is fine, just tell us which.
Do you photograph milestone sessions at home?+
Yes. At-home sessions in natural light suit the crawling and first-steps stages particularly well, because a child moves more confidently in a room they know. Studio suits the earlier, more styled sessions better.
